So—you grabbed the Yanyun Armor at Battlecrest Slope, felt good about it… then checked your Journal and saw the antique still sitting at 0/1.
Yeah. Annoying.
And no, you didn’t mess up.
If you’re like most players, your first thought was probably that the game bugged out, the progress didn’t save, or you missed some hidden requirement. That’s a totally fair reaction, especially since nothing in the game explains what just happened or why your progress didn’t count.
This is one of those classic Where Winds Meet moments where the game technically works as intended—but explains absolutely none of it. There’s no warning, no hint, and no clear feedback that something is still missing. Here’s what’s going on and how to fix it fast.
Here’s the key thing the game never tells you:
Looting the Yanyun Armor does NOT register the antique.
The antique credit is tied to a separate interaction at the end of the dungeon. If you grabbed the armor and left without triggering that interaction, the Journal just… doesn’t update.
This is especially frustrating because nothing in the UI suggests there’s another step involved. You get the armor, the moment feels complete, and the game lets you walk away without any warning that progression is still pending.
That’s why players keep searching things like:
“Battlecrest Slope antique not registering”
“Yanyun Armor not counted”
“Antique stuck at 0/1”
You’re not bugged—you just missed the trigger.
The Quick Fix (Do This First)
Head back to Battlecrest Slope and do the following:
Enter the Northern Vow Ruins / Echoes of Old Battles underground area
Push through to the final room
Look for a pile of bodies or statues in the center
Walk around it slowly until you see Investigate / Interact
Interact with it
✅ That interaction—not the armor loot—is what registers the antique.
This step is easy to miss because the game doesn’t highlight the object or warn you before leaving the area. Many players grab the armor, assume they’re done, and walk out without realizing there’s still a required interaction left behind.
Once you do this, your Journal should immediately update to 1/1, confirming the antique has finally registered correctly.
Can’t Find the Interaction? Try This
This part is easy to miss because the interaction is… kind of bad.
A few tips:
The object doesn’t glow
The prompt only appears from certain angles
Standing too close or too far can hide it
Because of this, it’s very easy to walk right past the correct spot without realizing there’s anything left to interact with. The game doesn’t highlight the object, and there’s no audio cue or quest reminder to hint that you’re missing something.
If you don’t see the prompt:
Circle the pile slowly
Adjust your camera downward
Approach from different sides
A lot of players loot the armor and leave without ever seeing the interact prompt, which is exactly why this issue keeps happening.
How to Confirm It Worked
Open your Journal and go to:
Journal → Sentient Beings → Verdant Wilds → Battlecrest Slope
You should now see:
Antique: 1/1
This is the clearest confirmation that the antique has successfully registered and that your progress has been saved correctly. If you see this value, you’re done—there’s nothing else required for this location, and you can safely move on to the next area or objective.
If it still shows 0/1, the interaction didn’t register—go back and try again. In most cases, this simply means the prompt didn’t trigger properly, not that anything is broken or permanently stuck.
Still Not Updating? Force a Reset
If you’re sure you interacted but it’s still not counted:
Teleport to a different region
Log out to the title screen
Log back in
Return to the dungeon
Interact with the object again
This process helps refresh the game state and often fixes cases where progress technically completed but didn’t sync properly. It may feel redundant, but progression systems in Where Winds Meet sometimes fail to update until the area is fully reloaded.
If the dungeon entrance seems unavailable, track Jianghu Legacy – Echoes of Old Battles from the Exploration menu to force the correct instance. This usually reopens access to the proper version of the area so the interaction can register correctly.
Is This a Bug?
Not really—but it feels like one.
This is more of a design issue:
Loot ≠ antique credit
Progress is locked behind silent interactions
The game never warns you before leaving
Because of this, players naturally assume that picking up the reward item means the objective is complete. There’s no on-screen reminder, no checklist update, and no message telling you that another step is still required. The game simply lets you walk away, which makes it feel like something broke when the Journal doesn’t update.
So if this tripped you up, you’re definitely not alone.
